RELEASE;

With due regard to the safe and healthy environment in Hamilton-Wentworth and Ontario, the Ancaster Agricultural Society has decided to cancel our traditional Ancaster Fair format for 2021.

We know this will come as an enormous disappointment to our membership, exhibitors, vendors, and our community.

This is not an easy decision to make. Still, the uncertainty of COVID restrictions, gathering numbers, and vaccine distributions makes it necessary for Ancaster Agricultural Society to change course in planning our large-scale event and concentrate on what we can do.

In place of the traditional Ancaster Fair, our directors, members, and staff are planning other ways for our community to get together through a combination of live, virtual, and drive-thru events.

We'll share details of our plans for these Ancaster Fair activities in the coming weeks through our website www.ancasterfair.ca  our Facebook page www.facebook.com/AncasterFair  and our Instagram page www.instagram.com/ancasterfair1850/ .   To receive updates, please follow our pages.

We want to thank everyone for their continued support of our Ancaster Fair and our Society.

For everything our members, sponsors, and fair goers have done for us in the past, everything you still do and will continue to do, we at the Ancaster Agricultural Society just want you to know how thankful we are, and we look forward to a prosperous future together.
